* The /r switch will defrag multiple drives in parallel (Different physical drives).
* The /h switch runs the defragging at a higher priority.
* The /u switch provides progress reports regularly.
* Defrag /? Gives you all the new options listed.

Locate and eliminate bottlenecks in Windows 7
Windows 7 is performing great compared to Windows Vista out of the box, but if your PC seems slow, it has become really easy to locate the reason.
* Click Start
* Type RESMON
* The Resource Monitor is now being loaded
* Click the CPU, Memory, Network tabs and Windows 7 will automatically show you which processes are hogging the system resources the most.
In the CPU tab you will find some useful tools, like a more powerful version of Task Manager. If a program has locked up, right click the programs name in the list and select “Analyze Process”. Windows 7 will now try to give you the information you need to fix the problem.
Install missing programs in Windows 7
Windows 7 comes out of the box without some of the standard applications from Windows Vista. Among these are Windows Mails, Photo Gallery and the Family Safety program, to install these you need to use Windows Live Essentials Applications.
Go to Windows Live Downloads and look to the right at the bottom of the screen, from here you can pick your download and start installing.
Microsoft has made this move to make updating easier and as a respond to the European Unions verdict, which stated that Microsoft was monopolizing on their software, like mail and Internet Explorer by having them preinstalled in Windows installations.
When installed, these programs will occur in the Windows Live folder in the Start menu of your Windows 7.
